Ice, Ice, Baby by Vanilla Ice stole the guitar riff, can you hear it? This is called stealing art or plagiarizing. You can imitate your favorite artists, but you should not steal exact bits and pieces and pretend that you came up with them yourself. You have to have permission and often pay to use an artists work, if you don't, they can take you to court and sue you. These are both famous songs because of this problem.
